We had a wonderful bonus to sneak inside Tracie and David’s new high-tech wizard themed room and were delighted to see their advancements in technology and the engaging way they’re designing what looks like a brilliantly fun room for the young and old. You can see the passion and love of escape rooms in Escape Again and it makes for an all-the-more enjoyable experience. Nonetheless, this is an excellent quality room that is good, old-fashioned escape room fun and comes highly recommended.
Escape room technology is becoming more varied and sophisticated and an update of the room could involve some more lock variety. There isn’t too much to criticise in this room but I would love to see greater variation from 4-number locks and key locks. Our team escaped with 15 minutes on the clock but we were challenged to the last second, and thrilled at the well-thought combination of easy win puzzles and longer, more laborious brain twisters. The story theme is simple yet engaging, the room design is atmospheric and just the right amount of creepy, and the game design flows fast, furious and fantastic. The Seance is a brilliantly fun room for both new and experienced escape room enthusiasts.
Into The Seance we went, flashlights on and wits at the ready. Unsurprisingly, JJ was never seen again and my team of four were tasked with unveiling the mystery of his disappearance.
The friendly and spacious foyer is a great place to wait for your game to begin, especially as many will have to drive about 30 minutes from Downtown Houston to the Sugarland location.īefore entering the room we are thoughtfully asked to make sure all team members are familiar with the locks used in The Seance and shown the last surviving footage of reality TV star JJ Buster who thought he’d make clever TV by unveiling the fraud of Madame Trousseau’s psychic abilities in her remote farmhouse. We were off to an immediately personalised and warm start for our first escape room in Houston when we had the pleasure of being welcomed to Escape Again Rooms by business owners and escape room designers Tracie and David.
